the winds of change

at Mahia, a few years ago, assisting teaching Romiromi  bodywork with Te Maurea (I'm on the left)

in a heartbeat, life has (again) changed for me

I'm going back to doing Maori healing in a koha (donation) clinic once a week. And probably another one  in the inner suburbs of Auckland. They are new clinics belonging to my friend, Debbie Wymer. On Monday nights, we are at Titirangi Community Centre.

I love doing healing. I actually do two different types: aura healing which is what I did for fifteen years before learning Romiromi, which is the ancient Maori system of healing. I don't do the native plants, which is called rongoa, but Debbie, her partner, and another healer, do this as well as romiromi. Rongoa and romiromi go hand in hand, I feel. But with me teaching a couple of yoga classes a week, privates, doing healings and clairvoyant work, and blogging - well, who can do everything?

For my private healing sessions, there is a lot that I don't do. And I am 100% okay about this. I'm not a great physical person - with massage and such. There are others who are way better at that than me. I'm more about the inner pangs, and also DNA problems which beset us. Which, actually, is what Romiromi is just fantastic for. And I also deal with our amazing hidden inner world of the psyche. So, it's quite specialised.

sometimes I just did less exciting work

And I love being a healer, I really do. So rewarding. I am so grateful that I am doing something that I love. But, you know, I've had many long periods in life when I just had to "suck it up" and do whatever work I could find, so I am no stranger to the low paid hard work. Often what is sometimes called menial jobs. But you know, I was glad to have the work and the income. My three (adult) children have all had times when they did this, too. I think that it's character building.

my new publishing work is coming along

I've made some changes to the book I've been writing, and the cover is now being done, as well as covers for my new yoga course, and ebooks (for my blogs). So I'm really feeling very lucky, indeed. Phew!! Fun-scary, I can tell you. Such big steps.

I've wanted to pass on my deeply spiritual yoga knowledge for a while, and now I have found a way to do this. The good thing is that it is my own knowledge, not anything to do with yoga cults, the big ashram corporations. No, it's just from little moi.

I shall keep you all posted. I shall try to restrain my excitement, too.
