Another week has flown by. I have resumed my life. Finally!
I have been making sure that I am "out and about", often. Catching up on my life. For a while, now.
So what are my weeks now about? In no particular order:
** I take a grand daughter to "school" (daycare), two to three days a week. In this era of mothers having to work, and no local children to play with, daycare fills the void.
I was horrified at a child going to a preschool when young, but, to my surprise, she loves it. Has a best friend there. Her mum took her to various centres to check them out beforehand.
The chosen one, which both mum and toddler loved during the first visit, is fantastic. The women there are wonderful, the kids healthy and happy. And it's a small one, so there aren't heaps of children.
** Maori Healing Clinic. I've been involved with this one here, on and off, but mostly "on", since 2009. That's a long innings. Most of what I do is usually quite specialised, however sometimes I'm just doing bodywork. The thing is, I one hundred per cent believe in "giving back", and this is how I choose to do it, by donating my time. Although, at present, I really am not doing much at all, but this will change. I also get amazing healings from my fellow workers at the end of the night, so this is a real treat. Each healer has their own special talents.
In the photo on our facebook site (from the above link), I'm third from the right. This was taken when we had been working at The Big Gay Out festival, a few years ago. It was such fun, we met so many interesting and enjoyable people. One of the best festival days that we've done. That night, as we were all leaving, our phone alarms all went off, because we were going into covid lockdown that night. Unexpectedly.
** I've been wanting to have more plants in my life. I don't do Rongoa (ancient Maori plant medicine. It's amazing) Many of my friends have studied it and I have enough in my kete (basket of knowledge) without having to add more. But I have bought some indoor plants. I'm not a good gardener. I can't figure out whether I worry plants to death, or neglect them to their demise. However, so far most of my wee plants are thriving and growing well. Looking forward to growing some vegies come summer.
** I've been do a few meetups at cafes, with friends and family. Always enjoyable. Hilariously, my Brunches out are usually a sweet chai, as I can no longer handle the stronger spices, and coffee now is also on the out, plus I also have toast, a scone or muffin, or chips. At present most cafe food is on the "no" list, but that will change. Not exactly haute cuisine 😂. But it's all about the company, and laughter.
** Teaching a private yoga class to friends, followed by dinner at the hosts' home, Tuesday evenings. I really look forward to this. I love being able to teach advanced spirituality and my friends love it, too.
** I also teach a few Maori healer friends who have put in years of practice, some deep spirituality, about once a month. One of us, Carolyn de Silva from Anahera Crystals and Healing link here is going to teach us with crystal meditations, too. Deep techniques and the correct crystals are such a powerful combination.
Clear quartz. Such a beautiful crystal.

** Of course, there is also daily life. I am that person who loves structure and rhythm in my life. But I must confess that this had gone by-the-by for quite some time, more than a year. I get quite disorientated and become messy when I'm not organised. So, bit by bit, I'm re-introducing some order into each day.
** I'm now finally resuming blogging and keeping up with some blogger friends. I enjoy it. I've always been fascinated by other people's stories. And we all do have a story. A unique one.
** And because I feel like a new person, I have sent so much to the Salvation Army, as I now don't resonate with a lot of my old belongings.
** I've even been shopping! At least once a month. Which, actually, I find really stressful. I don't enjoy it. I'm now three sizes down (from 20 to 14), but am wearing some size 16s on my top half, as well.
** I also have treated myself to some new makeup. Mainly Thin Lizzy and Natio. These are upmarket for me, to be honest. And I apply makeup very minimally. So everything lasts me ages. It's just in my nature to like to tidy myself up each day, and make myself look a bit better than I actually do look (if you know what I mean....)
A while ago, I went to get my favourite shade of Thin Lizzy pressed mineral powder, which I am obsessed with. It is truly the best of any foundation/powder/etc that I have ever used. Except for the very expensive IT foundation that I was gifted a few years ago.
Well, it seems that "my" shade is also everyone else's favourite. Sold out wherever I went. I was aghast. (yeah, I really was). Not in stock until six month's time. 😦 Happily, it's now available.....
I honestly believe that Thin Lizzy makeup is vastly under rated. The quality is really good. Cruelty free, mineral based, and light reflecting which somehow makes one look more youthful - so that's a bonus. Plus they have sales, often, so I only buy when it's a fifty or forty per cent reduction, sale. Economical.

Well, reading this post, I definitely have been resuming living Busy Weeks. Lucky me.
I'd love to hear what others do in their weekly life. I find everyone really interesting. We all have stories to tell.
